Myofascial Release

A form of therapy that addresses restrictions in the connective tissue (fascia) of the body. I use the John F Barnes' approach which has been treating patients for over 40 years. It is gentle work; using long, slow holds on the body, that promotes wellness, decreases or eliminates pain, and restores movement in the body. No lotion is used and the patient wears clothes that are loose and allow access to the skin.  Some benefits are: improved posture, better range of motion, reduced pain, less stress, improved energy levels and connection to the body.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is a gentle full-body massage ideal for those new to massage or seeking relaxation. This technique uses long, flowing strokes to release tension and promote a sense of calm and well-being.

Thai Massage

Traditional Thai bodywork; also known as Thai Yoga Therapy, is a technique that dates back thousands of years. It uses several techniques including compression, rhythmic rocking, breath work, passive range of motion work, yogic stretching and joint decompression. You as the client experience the benefit of yoga poses that might be difficult to do due to restrictions in the body. A session is a flowing dialog between the client and the practitioner, akin to a dance or martial art form. The client is passive and completely supported. Unlike traditional Swedish massage, no lotion is used and the client remains fully clothed, preferably in clothing that is loose and provides the ability for full movement.

Reflexology

A compression technique applied to specific points (reflexes) on hands or feet that relate to all organs and parts of the body.  It helps improve circulation and elimination, normalize body rhythms, and reduce muscle tension and reduce stress.  Excellent for those not comfortable with full body touch.

Raindrop Technique

The Raindrop Technique is a modality that uses Reflexology, massage techniques, and essential oils applied to the back and feet to help bring balance to the body. Many people have found it has boosted their immune system, helped them feel more relaxed, and brought a great night's sleep. Bonus, you leave smelling fantastic! The essential oils used in Raindrop Technique are: Oregano, Thyme, Basil, Marjoram, Cypress, Peppermint, and Wintergreen along with two blends, Valor and Aroma Seiz. Please wear clothes you don't mind smelling like essential oils. All essential oils are therapeutic grade.
